Omaha, NE—The Eko Nova Concert Series returns to Kaneko with the Quince ensemble. Dedicated to contemporary music arranged for treble voices, the quartet creates narrative soundscapes on stage, sometimes with the assistance of electronics and mixed percussion, but this time with voice alone.

Featuring Singer, Amanda Deboer Bartlett

Quince will be highlighting an important moment in Midwest history for this concert using what have been described as “apocalyptic melodies”.

Quince has called upon contemporary composers for this concert while writing some music of their own. The ensemble will perform arrangements of and pieces inspired by Woody Guthrie. Some members of the quartet also have personal family history related to the Dust Bowl.

Quince will perform at Kaneko, part of the Eko Nova Concert Series, this Monday, February 10 at 7:00pm. For more information, visit omahachambermusic.org.
